- Is ForwardThis a Gumloop alternative?
- For one person's email admin, yes. The timeout report above becomes a bug on the platform board, a note on the customer's account and an entry on the reliability list from one forwarded email, with nothing built first. For an organisation that wants a governed fleet of agents its whole staff can call on, no. Gumloop is built for that, and ForwardThis has neither the builder nor the admin controls to pretend otherwise.
- Is Gumloop still a workflow builder?
- It still runs workflows, and its own pricing table now files them under Workflows (Legacy), alongside concurrent runs and queuing. The product Gumloop leads with is agents: you build one, share it, and set policies for which connectors it may use. That shift is worth knowing before comparing it to anything, because a review written against the old canvas is describing a different product.
- Do I have to build an agent to use ForwardThis?
- No. There is no canvas, no node library and no agent to configure. The trigger is the email you forward, and the instructions written on it are the entire configuration. That is the trade in plain terms: ForwardThis gives up standing automation and gives back a product with nothing to maintain.
- How does Gumloop's credit pricing compare with ForwardThis actions?
- The two meters count different things. A Gumloop workflow run costs one base credit plus whatever each node costs, and most nodes are free, so the bill is driven by the expensive work: AI calls, enrichment, scraping, image generation.
