Looking for an alternative after Notion Mail?
The standalone Notion Mail inbox closes on 22 September 2026. Gmail is unaffected, and a database that already holds synced email keeps it, though no new messages arrive there afterwards. Notion's Gmail connector and its AI features are separate and are not closing.

- In Notion the email becomes a row in a database or a page under a parent page, whichever the instruction names, with the database's own properties filled in from the email, and it can only reach the databases you have shared with the ForwardThis connection. Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a simple instruction saying where it belongs, like "add this to my Leads database". ForwardThis creates the page or row and replies to confirm with a link. The first time, you'll need a free account with Notion connected, which takes about 30 seconds, and that's the entire Notion email integration. Sending an email to Notion has a page of its own.
- Can ForwardThis add a row to a specific Notion database?
- Yes. Name the database in your instruction and ForwardThis finds it among the ones your Notion account can edit, then fills in the obvious fields from the email. If two databases could match, it asks you which one. It never guesses.
- Do I have to map fields or set up templates first?
- No. Connect Notion once and you're done. Each email you forward says where it should go, and ForwardThis fills in the details it can see: names, companies, dates, what's being asked for.
- What if it files something in the wrong place?
- The confirmation email has an undo that works for 24 hours. You can also just reply with where it should have gone.
- Is there a Notion Gmail integration to install?
- Not for this. Notion's own capture drops emails from Gmail into an inbox for you to sort later, and the standalone Notion Mail inbox closes on 22 September 2026.
