ForwardThis for ecommerce teams

Ecommerce teams run on email. Supplier price lists, courier exceptions, order changes, invoices, wholesale enquiries: they all land in your inbox, and they all need actioning. ForwardThis actions them for you. Forward the email, add some simple instructions, and it does the work in the apps you already use.

The emails ecommerce teams deal with every day

ForwardThis takes on the repetitive tasks you would normally delegate, or switch between apps to deal with yourself. Each one of these can be actioned from a single forwarded email.

  • A supplier price list

File this under Suppliers/Fenwick Roastery/Price Lists.

The price list is saved in the supplier's folder, ready for the next reorder.

  • A courier delivery exception

Raise a ticket for the delivery team with the order number.

The exception becomes a ticket with the courier's email attached, so someone chases it today.

  • A customer changing their order

Add this to the Order Changes board for Amy, due today.

The request becomes a task on the board, so it is dealt with before the order ships.

  • A supplier invoice

Put this into Xero as a draft bill, due the 31st.

The invoice waits in Xero as a draft bill, with the PDF attached.

  • Product photos from the studio

Save the attachments under Products/Spring Range/Photos.

Each photo is saved to the product folder, and the confirmation lists every file with its link.

  • A wholesale enquiry

Add a row to the Wholesale Leads sheet with their name, shop and email.

The enquiry becomes a row in the sheet, so the lead gets a reply instead of getting buried.

  • A goods-received note from the warehouse

Add each line to the Stock Movements sheet as a row.

Each line of the delivery becomes its own row, so the sheet matches what is on the shelves.

  • A return request

Open a ticket for this return and add it to the Returns sheet.

The return becomes a ticket and a row in the sheet, so it is tracked from request to refund.

  • A customer asking to join the mailing list

Add them to the newsletter list with their name and email.

The customer joins your list, so the next campaign reaches them.

Forward any email, along with a quick note. Save the attachment. Add this to my calendar. Create a task. Update a record. Send a message on Slack. One email can ask for several things at once.

  2. ForwardThis does the work

It reads your email, then connects to your existing apps & tools to carry out the job. No workflows to build. No copying and pasting between tabs.

  3. Done.

FAQs

How do ecommerce teams use ForwardThis?
By forwarding the emails that carry work in them. A courier exception becomes a ticket for the delivery team. A supplier invoice lands in Xero. An order change goes onto the board. A wholesale enquiry becomes a row in the leads sheet. Each one can be actioned from a single forwarded email.
Does it work with the tools an ecommerce team already uses?
Yes. It works with Shopify, Gorgias, Klaviyo, Stripe, Xero, QuickBooks, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Trello, Slack and 145+ other apps. Each app takes one click to connect, and once connected it stays connected.
Does it work with Linnworks or Veeqo?
Not yet. ForwardThis cannot add work to those platforms today, and new apps are added every month. It still covers the rest of an ecommerce stack: the helpdesk, files, sheets, boards and bookkeeping.
Can my team use it too?
We're working hard on getting our team plan ready to launch. If you'd like to use ForwardThis for your team, please email us for more information.
What happens to customer emails?
Your email is processed securely and used only to carry out your instructions. ForwardThis keeps it just long enough for you to press undo, then deletes it completely. Nothing is stored long term.
Can it set up folders in Google Drive for a new supplier?
Yes. If you mention a Google Drive folder that does not exist, ForwardThis creates it for you. "File this under Suppliers/NewCo/Price Lists" works from the first delivery.
