Setup in 30 seconds.

How it works

  1. Connect HubSpot

Create a free account and connect HubSpot. It takes about 30 seconds, and you only do it once.

  2. Forward an email

Forward any email to your ForwardThis address along with your instructions. One email can ask for several things at once.

  3. Done.

ForwardThis replies when it's done, with a short summary and links to what it made - and an undo button if something doesn't look right.

Just forward it

Why you need ForwardThis

Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

Questions

How do I send an email to HubSpot?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what it is, like "add this as a contact and open a deal". ForwardThis creates the records, fills in the details it can read from the email, and replies to confirm with links. The first time, you'll need a free account with HubSpot connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire HubSpot email integration.
Can it create a deal, a ticket or a company from an email?
Yes, and custom objects too. Name what you want in your instruction and ForwardThis creates it, with an amount and a stage on a deal, a description on a ticket, a domain on a company, and an owner on any of them. It can associate the new record with the contact in the same go.
Will it duplicate a contact that's already in HubSpot?
No. The email address is the identity, so an existing contact with that address is updated rather than added again. The confirmation tells you which of the two happened.
Can it add someone to a list or log a call against them?
Yes. HubSpot's version of a tag is a list, so "add Owen to the Autumn Demos list" puts him in that manual list. Notes, calls and meetings all land on the contact's timeline, and logging an email that already happened sends nothing to anybody.
How is this different from HubSpot's own forwarding address?
HubSpot's address logs a copy of the email onto the contact's timeline, which is useful and free. This is HubSpot email automation without building a workflow first: you write one line, and the email becomes the contact, the deal and the follow-up task, in HubSpot and in your other apps.
