How it works

  1. Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "add this to my Reading List with the tag Pricing".

  2. The page or database entry appears in Notion as per your instructions. ForwardThis can set the database's own columns too, like a date, a tag or a priority.

  3. You receive a confirmation email containing a link to the new page, plus an undo button if something doesn't look right.

FAQs

How do I send an email to Notion?
Forward it to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "add this to my Reading List with the tag Pricing". ForwardThis creates the entry and replies with a link. The first time, you will need a free ForwardThis account with Notion connected - it takes about 30 seconds.
Does it create a page or a database entry?
Either. Name a database and the email becomes an entry in it; name a parent page and it becomes a page underneath. Your instructions decide which.
Can it fill in my database's properties?
Yes. A due date, a tag, a priority, an assignee: any of the database's own columns you mention are set on the new entry.
Doesn't Notion have its own email tools?
It does, but they solve a different problem. Notion Mail is a separate email client, and the Web Clipper saves web pages. Neither takes an email already in your inbox and files it into your workspace; ForwardThis does.
Why can't ForwardThis find my database?
Notion only shows ForwardThis the pages and databases you share with the connection. Share the database with ForwardThis inside Notion and it can find it by name.
Does it work with Outlook and other email apps?
Yes. ForwardThis works with any email provider: Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and everything else. If it can forward an email, it works.
What happens to my email afterwards?
It gets deleted. ForwardThis holds your email briefly in case you press undo, then removes it completely. Nothing is stored long term.
