- How do I create an Asana task from an email?

The first time, you will need a free ForwardThis account with Asana connected - it takes about 30 seconds.
- Can it assign the task and set a due date?
- Yes. Your instructions can name the assignee, the project and section, and the due date, all when the task is created.
- Doesn't Asana have its own email address for tasks?
- It does. Emailing x@mail.asana.com turns a message into a task, and it works well. The difference is that ForwardThis takes plain instructions, so the project, section, assignee and due date are set in the same sentence, and the reply links to the task it created.
- Which project does the task go into?
- Whichever your instructions name. If you don't name one, the task goes to My Tasks in your workspace.
