- How do I log an email in Freshsales?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "log this on Sofia's contact". ForwardThis adds it as a note on the contact and replies to confirm. The first time, you will need a free ForwardThis account with Freshsales connected - it takes about 30 seconds.
- Can the note go on a deal or an account instead?
- Yes. The contact is the default, matched from the sender's address, but your instructions can send it to a deal or an account by name - handy in teams that run support and sales side by side, where a complaint belongs next to the account's history rather than on one person.
- Can it keep contact details up to date?
- Yes. When an email carries a new number, a job change or a new city, ForwardThis can correct those details on the contact in the same forward. Undo restores the exact previous values, and steps aside if a colleague has edited the same field since.
- Can it create or move a deal?
- No. It can look a deal up and tell you where it stands, but a deal's value and stage are sales judgements, and ForwardThis never writes them from a forwarded email. Notes, contacts and contact details are its territory.
