Raise an urgent ticket for the login fault
Support, requester: Marcus Webb
You receive a confirmation email once complete, with an undo button that works for 24 hours.
Setup in 30 seconds.
How it works
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "raise this as an urgent ticket, with Marcus as the requester".
The ticket is created as per your instructions. ForwardThis can set the subject, the first message and the requester, so the customer's own address is on the ticket rather than yours.
You receive a confirmation email containing a link to the new ticket, plus an undo button if something doesn't look right.

FAQs
- How do I turn an email into a support ticket?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "raise this as an urgent ticket, with Marcus as the requester". ForwardThis creates the ticket and replies to confirm with a link. The first time, you will need a free ForwardThis account with your helpdesk connected - it takes about 30 seconds.
- Which helpdesks does it work with?
- Zendesk, Freshdesk and Help Scout. The forward is the same in each: the email becomes a ticket with the customer as the requester, and the confirmation links straight to it.
- Who shows as the ticket's requester?
- Your instructions decide. Ask for the customer and their address goes on the ticket, so the desk's replies reach them rather than you. Left alone, a forwarded email would make you the requester.
- Doesn't my helpdesk already turn emails into tickets?
- Yes. Every helpdesk has a support address, and email sent to it becomes a ticket - that front door is still the right one for customers. ForwardThis is for the one-off email sitting in your own inbox: forward it with instructions and the ticket is raised the way you asked, with a link back in the reply.
- Can it set the priority?
- Where the desk has one, yes: say urgent and a Zendesk or Freshdesk ticket is created at that priority. Help Scout has no priority field, so there ForwardThis can tag the conversation instead.
- Does it work with Outlook and other email apps?
- Yes. ForwardThis works with any email provider: Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and everything else. If it can forward an email, it works.
- What happens to my email afterwards?
- It gets deleted. ForwardThis holds your email briefly in case you press undo, then removes it completely. Nothing is stored long term.
