- Can I forward an email straight to a Teams channel?
- Yes. Name the channel and the team in your instructions and that is where it goes. If the team has no channel by that name, or you did not say which team, ForwardThis asks rather than guessing.
- Doesn't a Teams channel have its own email address?
- Many do. Teams can give a channel its own address, and anything sent there lands in that one channel as a raw forwarded email. ForwardThis uses one address for every channel in every team, posts a clean message to the right channel, and shows you the words before they go out.
- Will anything be posted without me seeing it?
- No. Every message is shown to you for a quick OK before it is sent, because a message the team has read cannot be unsent.
- Can it send a Teams chat or a direct message?
- No. It posts in channels only. Direct messages and group chats need a chat to be created before anything can be sent, which is a bigger decision than a forwarded email should be making.
- Does it work with Outlook and other email apps?
- Yes. ForwardThis works with any email provider: Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and everything else. If it can forward an email, it works.
- What happens to my email afterwards?
