How it works
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "log this on the Hartley box and move it to Follow up".
The email lands as a comment on the box, found by name in your pipeline, and the box moves to the stage from your instructions. Stages are your pipeline's own words - ForwardThis uses your real stage names, and asks rather than guessing when one doesn't match.
You receive a confirmation email telling you exactly what was posted and where the box now sits.

FAQs
- How do I save an email to Streak?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "log this on the Hartley box". ForwardThis posts it as a comment on the box and replies to confirm. The first time, you will need a free ForwardThis account with Streak connected - it takes about 30 seconds.
- Isn't Streak already in my inbox?
- On your desktop, in Gmail, yes - and when the thread is open in front of you with the sidebar there, use Streak directly. ForwardThis covers everywhere the sidebar isn't: your phone, a second mail account, a thread a colleague forwarded from outside the team. Forward it, and the box is updated all the same.
- Can it move a box to another stage?
- Yes. Stages in Streak belong to each pipeline, so ForwardThis reads yours and matches the stage from your instructions against the real list. If nothing matches, it asks with your actual stage names rather than moving the box somewhere wrong.
- Can it create a new box?
- Yes. Ask for one and a new box is created in the pipeline - a deal, a candidate, whatever that pipeline tracks - with a starting stage and notes if the email supplies them. With one pipeline on the account, ForwardThis uses it without being told.
- Can a comment be undone?
- No, and ForwardThis does not pretend otherwise: Streak offers no reliable way to remove a comment once it is posted. Creating a box or moving its stage can be reversed, but the comment stays, so the confirmation spells out exactly what was posted.
- Does it work outside Gmail?
- Yes, and that is much of the point. Streak itself needs Gmail; ForwardThis doesn't. Forward from Outlook, Apple Mail or any other app and the email still lands in your Streak pipeline.
- What happens to my email afterwards?
- It gets deleted. ForwardThis holds your email briefly, then removes it completely. Nothing is stored long term.
