An ops assistant for your inbox
ForwardThis for dental practices
Dental practices run on email. Appointment requests, lab work, supplier invoices, service reminders, referral letters: they all land in your inbox, and they all need actioning. ForwardThis actions them for you. Forward the email, add some simple instructions, and it does the work in the apps you already use.

The emails dental practices deal with every day
ForwardThis takes on the repetitive tasks you would normally delegate, or switch between apps to deal with yourself. Each one of these can be actioned from a single forwarded email.
An appointment request
“Put this in my calendar for Thursday at 10:20am, with a reminder the day before.”
The appointment sits in your diary, with the patient's email attached to the invite.
A patient asking to reschedule
“Move the appointment to Tuesday at 3:30pm and text the patient the new time.”
The new time is booked, and the confirmation text goes out once you have approved the words.
Lab work ready for collection
“File this under Lab Work/Ashfield and put the fit in my calendar for Friday.”
The lab ticket is filed, and the fit appointment sits in your calendar with the email attached.
A supplier invoice
“Put this in QuickBooks as a bill, due on the last day of the month.”
The bill waits in QuickBooks as a draft, with the invoice PDF attached.
An equipment service reminder
“Book the service visit for the 16th, and remind me the week before.”
The visit sits in your calendar with a reminder, so the service never lapses.
A referral letter
“File this under Referrals/September.”
The letter is filed where the practice looks for it, and the confirmation gives you the link.
An order confirmation for supplies
“Add this to the Consumables sheet, one row per item.”
Every item becomes its own row, so the month's spend adds up in one place.
A note for the whole practice
“Post this in #practice-team.”
The note goes out to the channel once you have approved the words.
A lab statement at month end
“Put this in QuickBooks as a bill under Laboratory Fees.”
The statement is logged under the right category, with the PDF attached.

Workflows dental practices use
FAQs
- How do dental practices use ForwardThis?
- By forwarding the emails that carry work in them. An appointment request lands in the calendar. Lab work gets filed with the fit date booked. A supplier invoice goes into QuickBooks. A reschedule is confirmed by text once you have approved the words. Each one can be actioned from a single forwarded email.
- Does it work with the tools a dental practice already uses?
- Yes. It works with Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, Slack, Twilio and 145+ other apps. Each app takes one click to connect, and once connected it stays connected.
- Does it work with Dentally or Software of Excellence?
- Not yet. ForwardThis cannot act inside those practice management systems today, and new apps are added every month. It still covers the rest of the practice's admin: the diary, lab work and referral filing in Google Drive, bookkeeping in QuickBooks, supply sheets and confirmation texts.
- Can my team use it too?
- We're working hard on getting our team plan ready to launch. If you'd like to use ForwardThis for your team, please email us for more information.
- What happens to patient-sensitive emails?
- Your email is processed securely and used only to carry out your instructions. ForwardThis keeps it just long enough for you to press undo, then deletes it completely. Nothing is stored long term.
- Will a text to a patient ever send without me seeing it?
- No. ForwardThis shows you the exact words first, and the text goes out only after you say yes. A text cannot be unsent, so nothing goes out without your OK.
