Questions

How do I send an email to QuickBooks?
Forward the receipt or the supplier's email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what it is, like "log this as an expense from Northgate Print for £86.40 under Printing". ForwardThis shows you what it's about to record, and once you say yes it records it and attaches the file straight from the email. The first time, you'll need a free account with QuickBooks connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire QuickBooks email integration.
Can it pay a bill or send an invoice to a customer?
No, and it never will. ForwardThis never moves money. It can record an invoice, an estimate, a bill, an expense or a credit memo, and that is where it stops: it takes no payments, issues no refunds, makes no transfers, and never emails an invoice to your customer. Recording that a supplier is owed and paying that supplier are two different things, and only the first one is here.
Does anything land in my books without me seeing it first?
No. QuickBooks has no draft state, so anything recorded is live in your accounts the moment it's created. Because of that, ForwardThis always shows you the document first, with the amount, the date, the customer or supplier and the category, and nothing happens until you say yes. If it's still wrong after that, undo works for 24 hours.
Can it attach the receipt to the expense?
Yes, and the file comes out of the forwarded email, so there's nothing to download and re-upload. It can attach to an expense, a bill, an invoice, an estimate or a customer, which means the receipt ends up filed against the spend it belongs to rather than in a folder somewhere.
Can it answer questions about my accounts?
Yes. Ask what's unpaid or overdue, what a customer owes, which payments came in recently, or for a profit and loss, aged receivables or balance sheet over a date range, and the answer comes back in a reply. QuickBooks works out every figure. Reading changes nothing in your books.
