An ops assistant for your inbox
ForwardThis for startups & founders
Startups run on email. Bug reports, investor intros, meeting requests, contracts, candidate CVs: they all land in your inbox, and they all need actioning. ForwardThis actions them for you. Forward the email, add some simple instructions, and it does the work in the apps you already use.

The emails startups deal with every day
ForwardThis takes on the repetitive tasks you would normally delegate, or switch between apps to deal with yourself. Each one of these can be actioned from a single forwarded email.
A bug report from a user
“Add this to the bug backlog, marked urgent.”
The bug lands in the backlog with the user's email attached, so whoever fixes it has the detail.
A crash report with a stack trace
“Open an issue on the web repo and include the stack trace.”
The issue is in the repo with the trace included, ready for whoever picks it up.
An investor update or intro
“Add them to the CRM as an investor contact, with a task to reply on Friday.”
The investor is logged in your CRM, with the reply already on your task list.
A meeting request
“Put this in my calendar for Thursday at 11am, with a video link.”
The call goes in your calendar with the thread attached to the invite.
A signed contract
“File this under Customers/Bramfield/Contracts.”
The contract is filed in the customer's folder, where the next person who needs it can find it.
A candidate's CV
“File the CV under Hiring/Engineering and put them on the Candidates board.”
The CV is filed and the candidate is on the board, so the pipeline stays current.
Customer feedback
“Add this to the Feedback page, under billing.”
The feedback joins the page, so the next roadmap discussion starts from what users actually said.
News the whole team should hear
“Post in #general that we've closed the round.”
ForwardThis shows you the message first, and posts it once you approve it.
A receipt to log
“Add this to the Expenses sheet with the amount and the date.”
The receipt becomes a row in the sheet, so month end takes minutes instead of an evening.

FAQs
- How do startups use ForwardThis?
- By forwarding the emails that carry work in them. A bug report becomes an issue in the tracker. An investor intro goes into the CRM with a reply task. A signed contract gets filed in the customer's folder. A candidate's CV lands on the hiring board. Each one can be actioned from a single forwarded email.
- Does it work with the tools a startup already uses?
- Yes. It works with Linear, GitHub, Notion, Slack, HubSpot, Stripe, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Sheets and 145+ other apps. Each app takes one click to connect, and once connected it stays connected.
- Does it work with Mercury or Carta?
- Not yet. ForwardThis cannot add work to those platforms today, and new apps are added every month. It still covers the rest of a startup's stack: the issue tracker, the wiki, files, calendars, sheets and the CRM.
- Can my team use it too?
- We're working hard on getting our team plan ready to launch. If you'd like to use ForwardThis for your team, please email us for more information.
- What happens to sensitive emails, like contracts or CVs?
- Your email is processed securely and used only to carry out your instructions. ForwardThis keeps it just long enough for you to press undo, then deletes it completely. Nothing is stored long term.
- Can it post to Slack without me checking the message?
- No. Anything that sends words to other people is shown to you first. ForwardThis writes the message, shows you exactly what will go out, and posts it only once you approve it.
