ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

- How do I send an email to Attio?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what to record, like "add Sofia as a person and note what she's after". It reads the details out of the email, writes them into Attio and replies with a link to the record. The first time, you'll need a free account with Attio connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Attio email integration.
- Can it add someone to Attio from an email?
- Yes. Give it a name and an email address, either in your line or in the message itself, and it creates the person. You don't need to name the company: Attio works that out from the email domain on its own. It can also create companies and deals, and it can check whether somebody is already in there before it adds them again.
- Can it update fields on a record?
- It sets plain values on a person, company or deal it finds by name or email: text, numbers, email addresses, phone numbers. It won't touch statuses and select fields, because those carry pipeline meaning that a forwarded email is in no position to judge, and moving a deal a stage is a decision you should make.
- Does it work with my custom objects in Attio?
- No. It speaks people, companies and deals, and it says so by name when you ask for something else. A custom object's fields could be anything, and guessing at them writes rubbish into your CRM that somebody then has to find and clear up.
- What if it records the wrong thing?
- The confirmation includes an undo that works for 24 hours: a person, note or task it created is removed, and an update goes back to the exact values that were there before. If a colleague has edited that record in the meantime it stops and tells you rather than overwriting their work.
