Why you need ForwardThis

Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

Questions

How do I send an email to Salesforce?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what it is, like "add this as a lead for Harlow Group". ForwardThis creates the record, fills in the details it can read from the email, and replies to confirm with a link. The first time, you'll need a free account with Salesforce connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Salesforce email integration.
Can I forward an email to Salesforce as a lead, a case or an opportunity?
Yes. Say which one in your instruction and ForwardThis creates it: a lead, an opportunity with an amount and a close date, a case, or an account. It can hang the email's own details off the record too, as a note, a Chatter post or an attached file.
Will it create a duplicate contact if the person is already in Salesforce?
No. The email address is the identity, so if a contact with that address already exists, ForwardThis updates their details instead of adding a second record. The confirmation tells you which of the two happened.
What if it files something on the wrong record?
The confirmation email includes an undo that works for 24 hours, and deleted records go to the Salesforce recycle bin, so nothing vanishes. You can also just reply and say where it should have gone. Anything a customer would see, like a public case comment, is shown to you for a quick OK before it posts.
How is this different from Email-to-Case or Salesforce's own email logging?
Email-to-Case turns every message sent to one address into a case, and activity capture quietly logs email against contacts. If all you want is a copy of the email on the record, use those. ForwardThis is for the emails that need something done: you write one line, and it creates the opportunity, the task and the contact, in Salesforce and in your other apps.

Forward an email. Sh*t gets done.
