Fwd: Re: Proposal for Meridian Supplies

Put an opportunity on the Meridian Supplies lead for £8,400 and give me a task to chase them on Friday.

---------- Forwarded message ----------

Thanks for the revised proposal. The £8,400 figure works for us. I need to get it past our director, so give me until the end of the week.

Why you need ForwardThis

Questions

How do I send an email to Close?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what it needs doing in Close, like "add an opportunity for £8,400 on the Meridian Supplies lead". Everything in Close hangs off a lead, so name the company or a contact's email address and it finds the right one. It can add and update contacts, add opportunities, log notes, calls and emails, and create or complete tasks. The first time, you'll need a free account with Close connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Close email integration.
Can I log a client email against a lead in Close?
Yes. Forward it and say "log this on the Meridian Supplies lead". It records the message as an email activity that already happened, which is different from sending one: nothing leaves your account, and nobody receives anything. It can log a call the same way when you have just come off the phone.
What if the company isn't in Close yet?
Add the contact anyway and the lead is created around them, so you are not stuck making the company first. If the name you wrote matches more than one lead, it comes back and asks which one you meant rather than guessing.
Will it send emails or start a sequence from Close?
No. Sequences and bulk email are left out on purpose, and so is placing calls or sending texts through Close. Logging an email records something that already happened; nothing here delivers a message to anyone.
How is this different from Close's own email sync or Zapier?
Close can connect your mailbox and log everything automatically, which is the better choice if you want a complete record without thinking about it. Zapier suits the same thing happening every time. ForwardThis is for the email that needs work done as well as filing: the opportunity, the task, the note, said in one line as you forward it.
