Fwd: Homepage revisions - final round
Log 1.5 hours to the Homepage revisions task on Caledonia site, comment "final revisions call", and tell me where that project is for the month.
---------- Forwarded message ----------
Thanks for the call this morning. The last two changes are approved, so that should be the homepage finished from our side.

Why you need ForwardThis

ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.
Questions
- How do I send an email to Everhour?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying how long and against what, like "log 1.5 hours to Homepage revisions". It puts the time on today's date unless your line says otherwise, adds your comment as the note, and replies to confirm. The first time, you'll need a free account with Everhour connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Everhour email integration.
- Can it fix an entry I got wrong?
- Yes. Say the task and the date and it will change the hours, the comment or both. If the entry is locked by an approved timesheet or has already been invoiced, it tells you so and stops rather than quietly skipping it. Every entry it logs or edits also carries an undo in the confirmation that works for 24 hours.
- Can it start or stop a timer?
- No, on purpose. A timer started when an email happens to be read is not a record of when the work happened, and an email that arrived twenty minutes ago would start a timer that records a lie. It logs the hours you state instead, which is the honest version of the same thing.
- Can it raise an invoice or log an expense?
- No. Invoices and expenses are money leaving the building and are left out deliberately, along with timesheet approval, which is a manager's signature, and the resource planner, which decides who is available to whom. Time in, time out, and the totals are what it does.
- How does it know which task the hours belong to?
- From the name you write. If two projects have a task with a similar name, add the project in the same line and it narrows to that one. Ask it to list a project's tasks first if you are not sure what they are called. New tasks need to know which section they go in, so it asks rather than guessing.
