- How do I send an email to Toggl Track?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying how long it took and what it was for, like "log 90 minutes against Harbourside for today's call". It writes the entry and replies to confirm it. The first time, you'll need a free account with Toggl Track connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Toggl Track email integration.
- Can it log time against a particular project?
- Yes. Name the project in your line and it matches it against the real projects in your Toggl account, so you get the hours on the right client rather than floating loose. If you can't remember what a project is called, ask it to list them.
- Can I log time for a day that isn't today?
- Yes. It logs to today unless you say otherwise, so "log two hours to Harbourside yesterday" does what it says. That's the useful bit on a Friday afternoon, when the emails in front of you are the record of what you actually did this week.
- Can it fix an entry I got wrong?
- Yes. Point at a recent entry by its description and tell it what should have been there, and it changes the hours or the wording. It only looks at recent entries, so it can't reach back and quietly rewrite last quarter's timesheet.
- What if I have more than one Toggl workspace?
- It uses the default workspace on your account. If you have several and it isn't obvious which one you mean, it asks rather than guessing, because time logged in the wrong workspace tends to be found at invoicing.
