ForwardThis does it in GoHighLevel and replies to confirm. The first time, you'll need a free account with GoHighLevel connected, which takes about 30 seconds.
- Can it create a contact in GoHighLevel from an email?
- Yes. Forward the email and say "add them as a contact" - the name, email, phone, company and any tags you mention go on the record. If a contact with that email already exists, the details are updated instead, so nobody gets duplicated.
- Can it add a contact to a campaign or workflow?
- No, and that's deliberate. Enrolling someone in a campaign or workflow starts automated emails and texts to them, and a forwarded email is not the place to authorise sending. ForwardThis keeps to records: contacts, notes, tasks, tags and opportunities. It never sends anything to your contacts.
- Is this GoHighLevel email automation?
- It works in the opposite direction. GoHighLevel's own email automation sends campaigns and follow-up sequences to your contacts. ForwardThis handles the email arriving in your inbox: forward a lead's enquiry or a client's reply, and the contact, note, task or opportunity is created for you. Nothing here sends email to anyone.
- What if it gets something wrong?
- Every action is confirmed by reply, and undo works for 24 hours. A contact it added is removed again, an edit is put back the way it was. If someone on your team has changed the record since, it leaves their edit alone and tells you instead.
