- Is ForwardThis a Jace alternative?
- Partly, and it is worth being precise about which part. Jace's Business Integrations turn incoming mail into tickets, Slack posts and saved documents, and that overlaps directly with what ForwardThis does. Everything else Jace sells does not: the drafting, the labelling, the priority sorting and the chat over your email history have no equivalent here. So it is an alternative to the actions half of Jace, and not to the inbox half.
- Isn't Jace a browser agent?
- It was. Zeta Labs launched Jace as an autonomous web agent driven by its own AWA-1 model, which operated a browser to complete tasks on websites. The product on sale now describes itself as an AI executive assistant for email, and browsing is not among the features it lists. If what you actually want is an agent that clicks through a site with no API, neither tool is that. ForwardThis calls documented APIs on apps you have connected, which is narrower and steadier than driving a page, and it stops wherever the API stops.
- What happens to the emails no rule covers?
- This is the real split between them. A Jace rule has to be written before the email arrives, which works well for the message that keeps coming back and not at all for the one nobody predicted. ForwardThis works the other way: nothing is configured, because the instruction is written on the email when it is forwarded. The cost is that nothing is ever caught automatically.
- How do credits and actions compare?
