ForwardThis

Outlook

Email to Outlook,
the easy way

ForwardThis is the simple tool that connects your email to Outlook. Forward any email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Nothing to download, nothing to set up. Works with dozens of your other apps too.

Get started

Setup in 30 seconds.

How it works

  1. Connect Outlook

Create a free account and connect Outlook. It takes about 30 seconds, and you only do it once.

  2. Forward an email

Forward any email to your ForwardThis address along with your instructions. One email can ask for several things at once.

  3. Done.

ForwardThis replies when it's done, with a short summary and links to what it made. Outlook has no way to take these back, so anything that cannot be reversed is shown to you first.

Just forward it

Fwd: Site visit - can we move to Thursday?

Draft a reply to Priya saying Thursday morning works and I'll bring the revised drawings, and give me a task to print them.

---------- Forwarded message ----------

Tuesday has become difficult at our end. Could we push the visit to Thursday morning instead? Happy either way on the time.

Why you need ForwardThis

Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

Questions

How do I send an email to Outlook?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "draft a reply saying Thursday works". ForwardThis writes the draft into your Outlook, or searches your mailbox, or sends the message for you once you've said yes. The first time, you'll need a free account with Outlook connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Outlook email integration.
Is this the same as setting up email forwarding in Outlook?
No, and it's worth being clear about it. If you want copies of your mail to land in another mailbox, that's a forwarding rule you set inside Outlook itself. ForwardThis is for the other thing: you connect your Outlook account once, and then any email you forward can be turned into work, including a drafted reply in Outlook, a search of your own mailbox, or a message sent from your address.
Can it write a reply without sending it?
Yes, and that's the safest way to use it. Ask for a draft and it writes an unsent message into your Outlook Drafts, threaded onto the real conversation when you're answering something, so the recipient and subject come from the actual message. Nothing leaves until you open Outlook and press send, and if you don't like it you just delete it there.
Can it search my Outlook mailbox for me?
Yes. Ask for what you're looking for by sender, by subject, by date or in plain words, and it comes back as a list of sender, subject, date and a link to each message, in a reply to you. The results go to you and nowhere else.
What if it sends something I didn't want sent?
It won't send without you. Every send is shown to you first with the real recipient and the real wording, and it only goes when you say yes, because an email that has landed in somebody's inbox cannot be taken back. There is no undo on Outlook for that reason, which is also why drafting is the default suggestion for anything you're unsure about.

Forward an email. Sh*t gets done.
