Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

- How do I send an email to SurveyMonkey?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what you want, like "set up a feedback survey for the October webinar" or "how did the NPS survey do?". It creates or reads what you asked for and replies with the link or the numbers. The first time, you'll need a free account with SurveyMonkey connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire SurveyMonkey email integration.
- Will it send the survey out to anyone?
- No. A new survey is created with no collector on it, which means nobody can answer it and nobody has been emailed until a person sets that up in SurveyMonkey. Sending a survey message puts an email in front of every address on a list at once, and no forwarded email gets to trigger that. You get the survey ready to check, and you decide who sees it.
- Can it copy a survey I already have?
- Yes. Name the one you want it based on in your instruction, like "like the onboarding one", and the new survey comes out with the same questions under the new title. Rename either of them later by asking, and the questions and any responses already in are left alone.
- Can it tell me how a survey is doing?
- Yes. Ask for the summary of a survey by title and you get SurveyMonkey's own per-question rollup back in your inbox: how many answered, how many skipped, and how the choices split. Those are SurveyMonkey's figures, not a tally ForwardThis worked out, which is the difference between a report and a guess.
- Can it add people to a contact list?
- No. A SurveyMonkey contact list exists in order to be emailed, so adding somebody to one is the first half of a mass send and it is left out for the same reason the sending is. Looking a contact up by name or email is fine and it will do that.
