Fwd: Christmas party quote for 120 people
Add Marcus as a contact, note what he's asking for, tag him enquiry-christmas, and open a deal called Haversham Christmas 2026.
---------- Forwarded message ----------
We're looking at a party for around 120 in the first week of December, three courses and a bar. What sort of budget should we be thinking about?

Why you need ForwardThis
Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.
Questions
- How do I send an email to ActiveCampaign?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what you want, like "add them as a contact and tag them enquiry-christmas". ForwardThis reads the sender's details out of the email, does what you asked, and replies to confirm. The first time, you'll need a free account with ActiveCampaign connected, which takes about 30 seconds, and that's the entire ActiveCampaign email integration.
- Can I create a contact in ActiveCampaign from an email?
- Yes. The email address is all it needs, and the name and phone number come along when they're in the message. The contact is added to your account only, never to a list, because a list is what starts a send. If the contact already exists you can update their name, email or phone instead, found by their address or their name.
- Does tagging a contact send them anything?
- It can, which is why it always asks first. In ActiveCampaign a tag is a trigger, so "tag Jane as customer" might start a sequence to Jane the moment it lands. ForwardThis shows you the contact and the exact tag before anything happens, and if you say no, nothing does. Removing a tag it added is part of the 24 hour undo.
- Can it send a campaign or manage automations?
- No. Campaign sending, list sends and automation management are all left out on purpose. This is the contact side of ActiveCampaign: looking someone up, adding them, updating them, noting what they said, tagging them, and opening a deal. Anything that mails your audience stays a decision you make inside ActiveCampaign.
- How is this different from ActiveCampaign's own forms or Zapier?
- A form is the right thing when people fill it in themselves. Zapier suits the enquiry that arrives the same way every time and deserves a rule. ForwardThis is for the reply that lands in your inbox from a real conversation, where the useful details are in the thread rather than in fields. Forward it, write one line, and the contact, the note, the tag and the deal all exist together.
