- How do I send an email to Brevo?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "add the sender to Brevo with their company". It reads the name, the email address and whatever else you've asked for out of the message, creates the contact, and replies to confirm. The first time, you'll need a free account with Brevo connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Brevo email integration.
- Can it add someone to a list in Brevo?
- No, on purpose. A list in Brevo is what campaigns and automations send to, so putting somebody on one is really the first step of a send, and that is not a decision a forwarded email should be making. Contacts go into your account and you choose the list yourself, in Brevo, when you mean to.
- Can it send a campaign or an email from Brevo?
- No. Campaigns, SMS and transactional sending are all out, and they're out by design rather than not built yet. Contacts are the whole of what it touches here: look one up, add one, update one.
- Can it update a contact's details?
- Yes. Tell it what changed and it sets the attributes on the contact it finds by email address, so a job title, a company or a phone number picked out of the signature at the bottom of an email lands on the record without you retyping it.
- What if it adds the wrong person?
- The confirmation includes an undo that works for 24 hours: a contact it created is removed, and an update goes back to the values that were there before. Because it never adds anyone to a list, a wrong contact sitting in the account for an hour doesn't email anybody.
