- How do I send an email to Beehiiv?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what you want from Beehiiv, like "how did Thursday's issue do?". It reads your publication and replies with the answer. It can list recent posts, read a post's opens, open rate, clicks and web views, read your subscriber count and average open rate, look a subscriber up by email and add one. The first time, you'll need a free account with Beehiiv connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Beehiiv email integration.
- Can I get my Beehiiv subscriber count by email?
- Yes. Ask for it in a line and the reply comes back with the active subscriber count and the publication's average open rate. Ask about a particular post by its title and you get that post's opens, open rate, clicks and web views instead.
- Can ForwardThis publish a post or send an issue?
- No, and that is deliberate. A Beehiiv post goes to your whole list the moment it goes out, and nothing you can say in a forwarded email should be able to do that. ForwardThis reads posts and their performance; writing and sending them stays with you, in Beehiiv.
- Can it add a subscriber from a forwarded email?
- Yes. Say "add this person to the newsletter" and the address is added to your publication. It goes through Beehiiv's normal flow, so if you have double opt-in switched on they still get the confirmation email and are not on the list until they click it.
- How is this different from the Beehiiv dashboard or Zapier?
- The dashboard is better when you want to browse: charts, comparisons, everything in one place. Zapier suits the same thing happening on every signup. ForwardThis is for the moment someone forwards you a thread and the answer is a number you would otherwise go and look up, or a person you would otherwise go and type in.
