Get started

Setup in 30 seconds.

How it works

  1. Connect Docusign

Create a free account and connect Docusign. It takes about 30 seconds, and you only do it once.

  2. Forward an email

Forward any email to your ForwardThis address along with your instructions. One email can ask for several things at once.

  3. Done.

ForwardThis replies when it's done, with a short summary and links to what it made. Docusign has no way to take these back, so anything that cannot be reversed is shown to you first.

Just forward it

Fwd: Happy to go ahead - NDA first

Send the Standard NDA template to Sofia for signature, and tell me who still hasn't signed the Harbourside MSA.

Delighted, let's get started. Our legal team just needs the NDA in place before we share anything on our side.

It gets done

Sent Standard NDA for signature

Sofia Bianchi · sofia@meridianstudio.co.uk

Dan Whitlock signed 21 Aug · waiting on Priya Nair

A document sent for signature cannot be called back, so ForwardThis checks with you first.

Why you need ForwardThis

ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

Questions

How do I send an email to Docusign?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line naming the template and who should sign, like "send the Standard NDA to sofia@meridianstudio.co.uk". It reads the real template from your account, shows you the envelope with its recipients, and sends it when you say yes, then replies to confirm. The first time, you'll need a free account with Docusign connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Docusign email integration.
Can it send a document for signature straight from an email?
It sends templates you already have in Docusign, named in your instruction, to recipients you name. It also sends the document attached to your email, if that is easier than keeping a template. If you can't remember what a template is called, ask it to list the templates in the account first.
Can it prepare an envelope without sending it?
Yes. Ask it to prepare or draft one and it builds the envelope from the template with its recipients and any details you've given, then leaves it sitting in your Docusign. Nobody is emailed and nothing is sent until you open Docusign and press send yourself. While it's still a draft you can delete it there.
Can it cancel a document that's already out for signature?
It can void an envelope, with a reason, which is the honest version of cancelling. Be clear what that means: Docusign emails every recipient to tell them it was cancelled, that second email can't be recalled either, and it does not unsend the first one. Voiding stops the signing, it doesn't rewind it.
Is there an undo if it gets something wrong?
No, and that's exactly why it asks first. Everything it can do in Docusign that reaches another person is shown to you before it happens, with the real template name and the real signers on screen. Asking what's outstanding, who has signed and which templates exist changes nothing at all, so those just answer.

Forward an email. Sh*t gets done.
