  1. Connect Guru

Create a free account and connect Guru. It takes about 30 seconds, and you only do it once.

  2. Forward an email

Forward any email to your ForwardThis address along with your instructions. One email can ask for several things at once.

  3. Done.

ForwardThis replies when it's done, with a short summary and links to what it made - and an undo button if something doesn't look right.

Re: How do we handle a late delivery refund?

Make this a Guru card in Support Playbook called "Late delivery refunds", share it with the team, and comment that Nadia should check the escalation limit.

---------- Forwarded message ----------

If it's more than 48 hours late we refund the delivery charge, not the order. Anything over a week, escalate to Nadia before promising a full refund.

It gets done

Created "Late delivery refunds"

Support Playbook · shared with the team

Commented on the card

Nadia to confirm the one-week escalation limit

Undo available for 24 hours if something does not look right.

Some other examples

  • Search Guru for our refund policy and send me what it says.
  • Add this new step to the onboarding card.
  • Comment on the pricing card that it's out of date.

Why you need ForwardThis

Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

Questions

How do I send an email to Guru?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what the card should be called and which collection it belongs in, like "make this a card in Support Playbook called Late delivery refunds". ForwardThis creates it and replies with the link. The first time, you'll need a free account with Guru connected, which takes about 30 seconds.
Who can see a card ForwardThis creates?
Only you, unless you ask otherwise. A new card stays private to its owner, which is Guru's own default and the safe one. Say "share it with the team" in your instruction and it goes to the whole team instead.
Can it update a card that already exists?
Yes. Name the card and say what should change and ForwardThis replaces the title or the body. It never changes who the card is shared with while it does that, so an edit cannot quietly widen who can see something.
Can it verify a card?
No. Verifying a card is a statement that the content is correct, and that is a judgement a forwarded email cannot make. ForwardThis will not verify or unverify anything. It can leave a comment saying something looks stale, which is how Guru users flag it anyway.
What if it puts the wrong thing in a card?
The confirmation email includes an undo that works for 24 hours: a card it created is removed, an edit is restored to exactly the title and body it replaced, and a comment comes off. Before restoring an edit it checks nobody else has changed the card since.

Forward an email. Sh*t gets done.
