Questions

How do I send an email to Eventbrite?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line describing the event, like "set up a draft event called Autumn Supper Club for 12 November, 7pm to 10pm". ForwardThis creates the draft and replies with a link to it. The first time, you'll need a free account with Eventbrite connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the whole Eventbrite email integration.
Can it create an event from an email?
Yes, as a draft. It needs a name and a start and end time, and it uses UTC unless your instruction gives a timezone. Creating never publishes, so the event has no public page and nothing is on sale: the draft sits in your account waiting for you to look at it properly.
Can it publish an event?
Yes, but never quietly. Publishing puts a public page up and tickets on sale, so it shows you the event and its date and waits for your yes first. The same goes for renaming or re-timing an event that is already live, since people have that date in their diaries.
Can I undo publishing an event?
While nobody has ordered a ticket, yes: it can be unpublished again. Once someone has bought one, no, and it refuses rather than pretending. Money has moved for somebody else at that point, and pulling the page from under them isn't ours to do. The refusal comes back with the reason and the order count.
Can it tell me who's coming?
Yes. Ask for the attendees of an event by name and you get the list back in a reply, with who has checked in. You can also list your events with their status and dates, or read one event for its capacity, date and link.
