How it works

  1. Connect Zoom

Create a free account and connect Zoom. It takes about 30 seconds, and you only do it once.

  2. Forward an email

Forward any email to your ForwardThis address along with your instructions. One email can ask for several things at once.

  3. Done.

ForwardThis replies when it's done, with a short summary and links to what it made - and an undo button if something doesn't look right.

Why you need ForwardThis

Questions

How do I send an email to Zoom?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying when the meeting should be, like "set up a Zoom on Thursday at 2pm for 45 minutes and call it Northgate kick-off". ForwardThis creates the meeting and replies with the join link, ready to pass on. The first time, you'll need a free account with Zoom connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Zoom email integration.
Does it invite people to the meeting?
Not by default. It gives you the join link and you share it, which is how most Zoom meetings get their attendees. If you do ask it to register named people, Zoom emails each of them their own confirmation, and because that reaches other people's inboxes it checks with you before it goes ahead.
Can I set the details, or reschedule and cancel a meeting I already have?
Yes, all in the line you write. A new meeting can have an agenda, a length in minutes, a passcode, a waiting room, a rule about joining before you, and a repeat like every Monday. For one you already have, name it by its topic and it can change any of those or move it. Zoom doesn't email anyone for a plain reschedule and the join link stays the same, so the link you already sent still works. Cancelling always checks with you first, and undo works for 24 hours on anything that can be safely taken back.
What else can it tell me about my Zoom account?
It can list what's coming up or what's already been held, read out one meeting's settings, passcode and join link, answer "what's my Zoom link?" with your personal room, list your cloud recordings and their links for a date range, and tell you who actually joined a meeting. It never deletes a recording: that is permanent in Zoom, and an approval can't show you what would be lost.
How is this different from Zoom's own scheduler or Zapier?
Zoom's scheduler is quicker when you're already in Zoom and you know exactly what you want. Zapier can create a meeting from a trigger, but you build a rule for each case first, and it works best when every meeting is the same shape. ForwardThis is for the meeting that starts as an email: the client suggests Thursday afternoon, you forward it with one line, and the join link comes back to you along with the calendar entry.
