- How do I send an email to Ashby?

ForwardThis shows you what it is about to do, adds the candidate once you say yes, and replies to confirm. The first time, you'll need a free account with Ashby connected, which takes about 30 seconds.
- Can it add a candidate from a referral email, with the CV?
- Yes. The CV is read straight out of the forwarded email and uploaded as the candidate's resume, so there is nothing to download and re-upload. Ashby keeps every version, so a later CV never destroys the earlier one.
- Can ForwardThis move a candidate to the next stage?
- Yes. Say "move Priya to Onsite" and it moves that application to the named stage on the interview plan the application is actually on, rather than guessing at a stage that doesn't exist. Because a stage change can set off whatever automations your team has configured, it shows you the candidate and the stage before it goes.
- Will it reject a candidate or send an offer?
- No. ForwardThis will not archive or reject an application, will not create or approve an offer, and will not start a candidate outreach sequence. Those are hiring decisions, and a forwarded email is not the place to make one.
- What if it adds the wrong candidate?
- Ashby has no way to delete a candidate once created, so ForwardThis never creates one quietly. It shows you the name, email and CV first and waits for your OK, which is the real safeguard here rather than an undo that could not work.
