Why you need ForwardThis
Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.
Questions
- How do I send an email to Recruitee?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line naming the role, like "add her to the Account Manager pipeline". It creates the candidate with the name, email and phone number from the email and replies to confirm. Name no role and they land in the talent pool instead. The first time, you'll need a free account with Recruitee connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Recruitee email integration.
- Will it email the candidate?
- No, never. Recruitee pipelines can fire automated candidate emails when somebody changes stage, and ForwardThis switches that off every single time, without an option to turn it on. An automated rejection or interview invitation is not something a one-line summary can honestly describe, so if you want those to send, do it in Recruitee where you can see exactly what goes out.
- Can it move a candidate to the next stage?
- Yes, to a named stage in a role they are already in, using your own pipeline's stage names. Because the hiring team sees the move the moment it happens, it shows you the change and waits for your yes, and the undo puts them back where they were. What it will not do is disqualify or reject anyone: that is a decision with a person on the other end of it.
- Can it attach the CV from the email?
- No. Putting a file on a Recruitee candidate is not something this connection can do reliably, and guessing at it would be worse than saying so, so the CV stays in your inbox and you attach it in Recruitee if you need it on file. Everything written in the email - the name, the email address, the phone number, who referred them - does go across.
- What if it adds someone to the wrong role?
- The confirmation email carries an undo that works for 24 hours, and Recruitee keeps a removed candidate queryable rather than shredding them. Or just reply and say which role they should have gone in.
