- How do I send an email to Personio?
- Forward the email that raised the question to your ForwardThis address and add a line like "who's off next week?" or "what's Priya's work email?". The answer comes back as a reply you can forward straight on. The first time, you'll need a free account with Personio connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the whole Personio email integration.
- Can it change anything in Personio?
- No, and that's a decision rather than a gap. In Personio, the same place you would correct somebody's phone number is the place their salary sits, so rather than trying to police which fields an email is allowed to touch, ForwardThis writes nothing to Personio at all. It answers the two questions an office actually forwards to HR, and it stops there.
- Can it book or approve time off?
- No. Leave carries an approval flow and an entitlement balance behind it, and attendance records feed payroll, so booking or cancelling either from an inbox would move somebody's holiday allowance or their pay. It reads who is off, and that is all it does with absences.
- Will it ever show me someone's salary?
- No. A profile answer prints a fixed list of fields and nothing else: position, department, office, work email, status, start date, manager, employment type and weekly hours. Anything outside that list, including pay, bank details and whatever custom fields your company has added, cannot leave Personio in an email even by accident.
- Will it show me things I'm not supposed to see?
- It works through the Personio account you connect, so it can only see what you can already see when you log in yourself. If your access doesn't cover somebody's record, neither does this.
