Email to Loops,
the easy way

ForwardThis is the simple tool that connects your email to Loops. Forward any email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Nothing to download, nothing to set up. Works with dozens of your other apps too.

Get started

Setup in 30 seconds.

How it works

  1. Connect Loops

Create a free account and connect Loops. It takes about 30 seconds, and you only do it once.

  2. Forward an email

Forward any email to your ForwardThis address along with your instructions. One email can ask for several things at once.

  3. Done.

ForwardThis replies when it's done, with a short summary and links to what it made - and an undo button if something doesn't look right.

Just forward it

Add Jonah to Loops in the Agency user group, and check whether Ellie at the same place is already on there.

---------- Forwarded message ----------

Met you at the Leeds meetup - could you put me on the list for the product updates? My colleague Ellie may already be signed up.

Why you need ForwardThis

Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

Questions

How do I send an email to Loops?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying who to add, like "add Jonah to Loops in the Agency user group". It takes the address from the email, adds the contact with the name and user group you named, and replies to confirm. The first time, you'll need a free account with Loops connected, which takes about 30 seconds, and that's the entire Loops email integration.
Can it send a campaign or an email from Loops?
No. This works on your audience only: look someone up, add them, update their name or user group. In Loops an event is the thing that starts a campaign going out to a person, so ForwardThis never fires one, and campaigns and transactional sends are out entirely. Nobody gets emailed because of something you forwarded.
Will it subscribe or unsubscribe someone?
It never changes whether a contact is subscribed. Adding a contact puts them in the audience, and updating one can change their name or their user group and nothing else. Someone's consent is not something a forwarded email gets to decide.
How is this different from a Loops form, or Zapier?
A form is right when people sign themselves up. This is for the ones who ask you by email, or turn up on a spreadsheet a colleague sent, or hand you a card at a meetup. Zapier can add them too, once you've built the rule and the fields line up. Here you write one line and the address comes out of the email itself.
