How it works
Connect Cloudflare
Create a free account and connect Cloudflare. It takes about 30 seconds, and you only do it once.
Forward an email
Forward any email to your ForwardThis address along with your instructions. One email can ask for several things at once.
Done.
ForwardThis replies when it's done, with a short summary and links to what it made. Cloudflare has no way to take these back, so anything that cannot be reversed is shown to you first.
Just forward it

A customer just rang to say the pricing page still has last season's prices on it. I've checked and it looks right when I'm logged in.

Why you need ForwardThis

ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.
Questions
- How do I send an email to Cloudflare?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with some simple instructions, like "clear the cache for brightco.com" or "what DNS records are on brightco.com?". Reads come straight back as a reply; a cache clear shows you the domain and waits for your yes first. The first time, you'll need a free account with Cloudflare connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the whole Cloudflare email integration.
- Can it change my DNS records?
- No. DNS changes are refused outright, and that is a decision rather than a gap. One wrong record takes a domain off the internet, along with the email on it, and a forwarded message is not the right authority for that. It reads your records so you can check one against what a supplier has told you, and it stops there.
- Can it clear the cache?
- Yes, for a domain you name. Nothing is lost when a cache is cleared, so it is a safe thing to do, but it is not a free one: every visitor re-fetches everything for a while afterwards, and it cannot be reversed. That's why it names the domain and asks you before it goes ahead, rather than treating it as routine.
- Is there an undo?
- No, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Cloudflare is one of the connections where nothing ForwardThis does can be put back afterwards, so instead of an undo you get the approval: the domain named, the action spelled out, and nothing happening until you reply yes.
- Can it manage Workers, firewall rules or page rules?
- No. There are exactly two jobs here, and they are the two a non-infrastructure person actually asks for by email: is the domain all right, and clear the cache. Everything else in Cloudflare stays where it is.
