- How do I send an email to Dropbox Sign?

- Can it send a document for signature straight from an email?
- It sends the Dropbox Sign templates you already have, named in your instruction, to signers you name. Each signer needs a name and an email address, because Dropbox Sign requires both. It also sends the document attached to your email, which is the quicker route for a one-off. If you can't remember what a template is called, ask it to list the templates in your account first.
- Does this work with HelloSign?
- Yes - HelloSign became Dropbox Sign in 2022, and it's the same account and the same templates underneath. If you were looking for a HelloSign integration, this is it: connect your Dropbox Sign account once and forward emails as before.
- Can it chase people who haven't signed?
- Yes. Say "remind anyone who hasn't signed the Atlas MSA" and it looks up who is still outstanding and sends them Dropbox Sign's reminder email - checking with you first, because a reminder is a real email to a real person. One thing to know: Dropbox Sign won't send a reminder within an hour of the last one, and ForwardThis tells you when that happens rather than quietly retrying.
- Can it cancel a request that's already out for signature?
- Yes, while nobody has finished signing. Cancelling stops the signing: the links in the signers' inboxes stop working, but the emails they already received stay where they are, and Dropbox Sign has no way to bring a cancelled request back - which is why it asks first. A request everyone has signed is complete and can't be cancelled at all.
- Is there an undo if it gets something wrong?
- No, and that's exactly why it asks first. Everything it can do in Dropbox Sign that reaches another person is shown to you before it happens, with the real template name and the real signers on screen. Asking for the status of a request, who has signed and which templates exist changes nothing at all, so those just answer.
