Why you need ForwardThis
Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.
Questions
- How do I send an email to MailerLite?
- Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what you want, like "add them as a subscriber". ForwardThis takes the email address out of the message, adds the person in MailerLite, and replies to confirm with their status and signup date. The first time, you'll need a free account with MailerLite connected, which takes about 30 seconds, and that's the entire MailerLite email integration.
- Can I add a subscriber to MailerLite from an email?
- Yes. The email address is all it needs and the name comes along when it's in the message. They're added to your account only, never to a group, because in MailerLite a group is what automations and campaigns key on. Choosing which group someone belongs in stays a decision you make inside MailerLite.
- Does this send newsletters or campaigns?
- No. Nothing here mails anybody. There are three things it does: look a subscriber up, add one, and correct a subscriber's name. Campaigns and automations are left out entirely, so connecting MailerLite to ForwardThis can never result in an email going to your list.
- What if I add the wrong person?
- The confirmation email includes an undo that works for 24 hours, which removes the subscriber it just added. You can also just check first: ask whether an address is already on the account and it comes back with their status and when they signed up, without changing anything.
- How is this different from a MailerLite signup form or Zapier?
- A form is the right thing when people are signing themselves up on your site. Zapier suits a steady stream of signups arriving the same way each time. ForwardThis is for the person who asked you in an email, or in person and then followed up, where the only record is a message in your inbox. Forward it, write one line, done.
