How it works

  1. Connect Stripe

Create a free account and connect Stripe. It takes about 30 seconds, and you only do it once.

  2. Forward an email

Forward any email to your ForwardThis address along with your instructions. One email can ask for several things at once.

  3. Done.

ForwardThis replies when it's done, with a short summary and links to what it made - and an undo button if something doesn't look right.

Questions

How do I send an email to Stripe?
Forward the email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what you want, like "add them as a customer and draft an invoice for £2,400 due in 14 days". ForwardThis writes the draft from the email, shows you the customer, the amount and the due date, and replies to confirm once it's in Stripe. The first time, you'll need a free account with Stripe connected, which takes about 30 seconds, and that's the entire Stripe email integration.
Can it take payments or send money?
No. It never moves money. It will not charge a card, issue a refund, pay anyone out, transfer funds or start a subscription, and there is no setting that turns any of that on. An invoice or a quote it writes stops at draft, so you open Stripe, look at it, and press send yourself.
Can I create an invoice from an email?
Yes. Say the amount and who it's for and ForwardThis drafts the invoice in Stripe, defaulting to 30 day terms unless your line says otherwise. You can come back later and change a draft's amount, due date or memo, or add another line to it, by forwarding a follow-up email. Only drafts can be edited, which is also why the undo is honest: Stripe lets a draft be deleted and never lets a finalised invoice be.
Can it tell me whether a customer has paid?
Yes, and this is the read side, which changes nothing at all. It can look up a customer, read one invoice with its lines and what's still due, list invoices, subscriptions, products, charges, refunds and disputes, show your recent payments, and tell you your balance and when the next payout arrives. Reading a payout is not the same as making one, and making one stays out.
How is this different from Stripe's dashboard or Zapier?
The dashboard is the right place when you're actually doing the billing run, and it's the only place the send button lives. Zapier can push data into Stripe, but you build the rule first and it fires the same way every time. ForwardThis is for the email that just arrived: the client saying yes, the accountant asking whether an invoice went out. You forward it, write one line, and the customer or the draft exists a moment later.

Forward an email. Sh*t gets done.
