- How do I send an email to Cliniko?
- Forward the patient's email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what you want, like "book Helen in with Sarah at 2pm on Tuesday". ForwardThis shows you the patient, the practitioner and the time, books it once you say yes, and replies to confirm. The first time, you'll need a free account with Cliniko connected, which takes about 30 seconds.
- Does ForwardThis touch treatment notes or medical records?
- No. It never reads or writes treatment notes, patient cases, medical alerts or patient attachments. The only note it can write is the appointment's own admin note, the front-desk kind, like which room somebody needs.
- What does it tell me when I ask about a patient?
- Their name, email and phone number, and nothing else. Appointment lists come back the same way: who and when, never the reason for attending. A diagnosis should not end up in a mailbox, so it never puts one there.
- Can it cancel an appointment?
- Yes. Name the patient and the time and ForwardThis cancels that booking, then replies to confirm. Cliniko emails or texts the patient the moment it happens and nothing can unsend that, so it always shows you which appointment it means before going ahead.
- Can it add a new patient?
- No. ForwardThis books, cancels and checks appointments for patients who already exist in Cliniko. A patient record is the root of the clinical record, and a duplicate created from a misread email is a clinical safety problem, so creating one stays with your front desk.
