- How do I send an email to Senta?
- Forward the client's email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what to do with it, like "log this on Finn Joinery as a phone call note". ForwardThis finds the client, shows you the note it's about to log, and once you say yes it goes on the record and you get a reply confirming it. The first time, you'll need a free account with Senta connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Senta email integration.
- Can it add a new client from an email?
- Yes. Give it a name and, if you have them, an address, a phone number and a primary contact. New clients land as a Prospect unless your line says otherwise, and undo works for 24 hours if you added the wrong one.
- Can it move a client from Prospect to Client?
- Yes, and this is the one to be careful with. Senta starts real work when a client moves out of Prospect or a service is switched on: jobs kick off exactly as if you had made the change in the practice yourself. So ForwardThis always checks with you before a change like that, and you should know that undo puts the field back but does not un-start the jobs. Reply and tell it what you meant and it will tell you what's already running.
- Can it create or complete a job in Senta?
- No. A Senta job is built from a template against pivotal dates, and nothing in a forwarded email can pick the right template or judge whether a statutory deadline's work is genuinely done. It can list what's running for a client, and narrow that to pending, ready, overdue, completed or cancelled, so you can ask before you chase.
- Can I undo a note once it's on the record?
- No. Senta has no way to take a note back off a client, so instead of offering an undo it could not honour, ForwardThis shows you the note and the client it's going on and waits for you to say yes. If something does go on wrong, you can add a follow-up note correcting it.
