Fwd: Level 3 penetrations clash with the duct run

Raise an RFI on Kingsway Wharf for Priya Raman about the Level 3 penetrations, due Friday, and file the marked-up drawing in the project documents.

---------- Forwarded message ----------

The setting-out drawing puts the penetrations 300mm into the duct run on grid F. We can't pour Level 3 until someone confirms which one moves.

Why you need ForwardThis

Email is messy, every message asking for something different. It means constantly leaving your inbox and juggling tabs. ForwardThis skips all of that: forward an email along with some simple instructions, and it’s handled. Compatible with every email provider, and it works across the apps you’re already using.

Questions

How do I send an email to Procore?
Forward the site email to your ForwardThis address with a line saying what it needs, like "raise an RFI on Kingsway Wharf for Priya Raman about the Level 3 penetrations, due Friday". ForwardThis writes it up, shows you the RFI with the project named, and once you say yes it raises it and replies with a link. The first time, you'll need a free account with Procore connected, which takes about 30 seconds - that's the entire Procore email integration.
Can it raise an RFI or a submittal from an email?
Yes, both. An RFI needs a subject, the question itself and an RFI manager, who it picks by name from that project's own list, and it can carry assignees and a due date. A submittal takes a title and picks up the next number when you don't give one. Everything here is shown to you before it goes, because a Procore project is shared with the owner, the architect and the subcontractors, and an RFI lands in front of all of them.
Can it answer an RFI or write up a daily log?
Yes. Forward the architect's reply and it posts it on the RFI, as a comment by default, or as the official answer when you say that's what it is. Daily log notes go on today's log unless you name a date, so "log this for Tuesday" puts it on Tuesday. It can also add and close task items, and Procore emails nobody about a task item until it is sent, which ForwardThis never does.
Can it touch budgets, contracts or change orders?
No. Budgets, prime and purchase-order contracts, change orders, invoices and timecards are all out, because a forwarded email cannot authorise a contract movement. Creating projects, users and permission templates is out too. Punch items and coordination issues can be read and searched, but not raised, and it never triggers Procore's mass emails to a distribution list.
What if it raises the wrong RFI, or files a document in the wrong folder?
It shows you the RFI before it goes out, so the usual answer is that it never gets raised. After that, undo works for 24 hours. Procore does not really delete these things: an RFI goes to the recycle bin and can be retrieved, and the same is true of submittals, task items and files, which is what makes undo honest here rather than just possible.

Forward an email. Sh*t gets done.
